DR Phillip Moore

GP Partner – MBChB (1975), DA, DRCOG, Diploma in CHD prevention (2005), Diploma in Diabetes (2007), Advanced Diploma in Primary Care Mental Health (2015), Diploma in Cardiovascular Disease Management in Primary Care (2016).

English speaking – particular interests in mental health, cardiovascular preventive medicine, community based care. Phil has been a key partner at Central Surgery since 1984.

DR Jonathan Edwards

GP Partner – MBChB (1982), MRCGP, DRCOG, Dip Med Acc

English speaking – particular interests in therapeutics, acupuncture, respiratory and cardiovascular disease. Jonathan is a partner and has been with Central Surgery since 1989.

DR Nassif Mansour

GP Partner – MBBS (1988), FRCGP, MRCP(UK), DGM, DRCOG, DFFP

English and Arabic speaking – particular interest in neurology & headaches, diabetes, minor surgery & joints injections, mobility disorders and care of the elderly. Nassif is a Partner and has been with Central Surgery since 1995. Usual working days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

DR Carina Salazar

English, Spanish and Basque speaking – particular interests are in the rehabilitation and care of older people. Carina takes an active role in teaching the many medical students that undertake their training at Central Surgery. Usual working days: Tuesday to Friday

Our Paramedics

Sandra Ramirez

Registered with the HCPC as a paramedic; FdSc Paramedic Science (2013)

English and French speaking – Sandra worked for 13 years in the frontline both as an ambulance technician and a paramedic. Upon joining the practice, she gained further qualifications in minor injury and minor ailments management. She is also training as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner towards a Master’s Degree. Her particular interest is in the holistic management and care of the elderly and vulnerable patients, and as such do the home visits. She also has additional training in ECG interpretation. Usual working days: Monday to Friday

English Speaking – particular areas of interest are respiratory, heart failure and travel health, but she enjoys the variety involved in practice nursing and learning new things. Usual working days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

English and Farsi (Persian ) speaker – Her areas of special interest are Diabetes, Travel health, and respiratory; However, she enjoys the variety involved in practice nursing and new updates. Usual working days: Wednesday and Thursday.

English Speaker – Jane interests are in Tissue Viability (Wound Care) and Diabetes. Additionally, she also has a diploma in General Practice Nursing and Contraception and Sexual Health. Usual working days: Tuesday and Wednesday

English, Persian, Azari, and Turkish speaker. The areas of interest are women’s well-being, cervical screening, and wound care. Fully trained at St George University in GPN course for General practice duty. Usual working days: Monday to Friday

Medical Specialities: – COPD, Asthma, Anne qualified in 1986 & has been an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the last 18 years. She previously worked as a District Nurse. She is currently undertaking the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice

Our Healthcare Assistant

Healthcare Assistants play an important role in support clinicians (including Practice Nurses and GPs) with their daily work. This may include assisting with minor surgery, wound care, acting as chaperones if a patient or clinician requests one and assisting with family planning procedures. Additionally, Health Care Assistants hold their own clinics so you may find you have been given an appointment with a HCA for matters such as blood pressure monitoring, phlebotomy (taking blood) and Health checks etc.

The Administration Team ensure that all aspects of practice administration are completed in a timely and efficient way, such as: • patient referrals • scanning of correspondence • repeat prescription requests • dealing with results • Registrations and Deductions • insurance and medical records

Our Reception Team

When you visit or telephone the surgery you will most frequently speak to one of our receptionists who can assist in a variety of ways such as: • making appointments • dealing with prescription queries • providing results • arranging for call-backs from GPs • etc. In order to assist and ensure you are dealt with efficiently, they may ask you for further information regarding the nature of your enquiry. Our Pharmacists

Chaandi Devgon

MPharmRS, IP, PGDip, MAPCPharm, MSc, AKC

English, Hindi and Punjabi speaking – particular interests with in Cardio-Renal and Metabolic Medicine, she has a wealth of knowledge and experience in patient care and medicines management, with an active role in training allied healthcare professions undertaking their training. She graduated from King’s College London, University of London in 2010. Usual working days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Nipla Patel

MPharm

Nilpa is a clinical pharmacist who is based at the practice three days a week. She graduated from University of Brighton in 2004 and was a community pharmacist for many years before joining the practice in 2021. She supports the practice by reviewing patients medication, managing long term conditions, dealing with medication and minor ailment queries, and helps to improve the safety and quality of prescribing mechanisms.

Simon Frost

Simon is a clinical pharmacist working for Surbiton Health Centre PCN and started in 2020. He has a background working in community pharmacy, along with working in a hospital outpatient pharmacy. He graduated from Kingston University in 2010 and became a qualified pharmacist in 2011. He has a broad knowledge of all things medicine and prescription-based. Simon assists the practice by helping with medication queries and conducting medication reviews

Our Attached Staff

These include a Dietitian, Phlebotomist and Psychologist. Additionally there are a number of other health professionals such as District Nurses, Rapid Response Team, Health Visitors and Midwives who, while not working directly for the practice provide services for our patients.

Our Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing. The health visitors are based at Newent House and on the first floor of the Health Centre. They may be contacted on 020 8390 6755.
